Dededo Village Story By: Yeko Ladzekpo-Cole
This video project chronicles the philanthropic work that our Brother Dziwornu “Kwami” Ladzekpo recently did during our trip back to Ghana this past Summer. I am extremely proud of him and his efforts to help restore the school that he went to growing up as a child in Ghana. What I witnessed in regards to the extremely poor and unsafe conditions of the school, blew my mind. With my brothers planning, he was able to secure funding through donations from his company( Mears, a Quanta Services Company), many of his co-workers, as well as family and friends. This restoration happened over the course of 6 weeks. A lot was successfully completed, but there is always more to be done. If you would like more information or are interested in donating to future restoration projects of the Weme School, please email my brother at firstname.lastname@example.org or through Facebook messenger! Enjoy the video!
